The School Gardening has become an education of necessity, particularly post pandemic. If pursued, it has the potential to change the world as we see it.

Gardening as an activity prompts children to develop better civic sense, differentiate between rights and wrongs, sustainable farming practices helped instill a value system that was driven by sustainable thinking and in turn inspired the children to find sustainable solutions to problems that they faced today.

When they realized that it took over 90 days, a lot of effort, perseverance and care to grow one carrot, they never wasted it.
Since school gardening is an activity that’s team driven, it demanded that children worked in teams, helped each other out, shared responsibility, fought and mended their friendships for a common purpose while nurturing the spirit of entrepreneurship.

It was an education through realization. We humans are cursed to not remember what was taught in the classrooms, but fortunately, we are blessed to remember what we realize through
experience. True education is the education of realization. School Gardening achieves just that.
School Gardening sensitizes the adults of tomorrow to the ecological, environmental, safe food and climate challenges, influencing them to make wiser choices in their lives for a better life, a better world and a better tomorrow.
We, at Indian Farm School pioneer the design, development and delivery of the School Gardening classes that tailor-made for Indian school-children of varied age-groups and background. We are based out of Bangalore. We also conduct trainings for School Teachers on School Gardening.
